Becoming a Member

Whether you have lived in this area for some time or have just moved here, we invite you to make Peace your church home. Speak to the Pastor or any member about your interest. Typically, there are three ways to become a member at Peace: Transfer procedures; Participation in an Adult Class for Inquirers, Reaffirmation of Faith.

Lutheran Christian Study

We ask that all non-Missouri Synod Lutherans participate in a ten part study. This includes everyone from other Christian denominations and those with no Christian background. The study focuses on what it means to be a Lutheran Christian. Salvation, Baptism, the Lord's Supper and the work of the Holy Spirit are some of the major topics. It is a great opportunity to ask questions and discover the basis for PLC's teaching and practice. Participants are given the opportunity to become members of Peace Lutheran Church at the end of the study.

Spring and Fall classes are held in Luther Lounge every Thursday evening for new members and current members wishing to refresh their knowledge.

Transfer

Members from other Missouri Synod Lutheran churches may transfer their membership to Peace Lutheran Church. Those wishing to transfer must complete an Application for Membership, send a Request for Transfer to their home congregation. Please contact the pastor to receive the appropriate forms.

Reaffirmation of Faith

This includes anyone who was confirmed or instructed in a Missouri Synod Lutheran church, but may have attended another church or fallen away from the church for a number of years. Reaffirmations are discussed with pastor.

Please contact Pastor Ricky Adams or Sally Erickson for more information.
